WHAT TRAVEL HAS TAUGHT ME SO FAR? (PART 2)

I know this post should be up much sooner, but for the past few weeks I’ve been struggling to do everything before leaving on our next trip. And yet I haven’t been as efficient as I would like, because here I am, half a day before leaving and still working on a few things, instead of packing. Plus I still somehow found time to write this post haha. Continuing the “first part” here is the second part of the things I’ve learned during my years of traveling. Enjoy! 13. One, for me very important is – try to make the best of the situation. If something unexpected happens, be resourcefull…

    POSITANO AND AMALFI

We followed the road that lead us from Sorrento, along Amalfi coast. The road is very scenic, you get to see some amazing cliffs, but it’s pretty difficult to drive as well. Keep in mind that roads are narrow, very winding and there is a lot of traffic going on. You can either curse the road, or you can take it as a part of the adventure and enjoy the ride. We immediately knew it was mount Vesuvius, which is actually a volcano. It felt just as the mountain was welcoming us and telling us that our final destination – Amalfi coast in near. Vesuvius is really majestic and sublime. It is standing proudly, watching over the city of Naples and Amalfi coast. As soon as we left Naples behind and entered the Amalfi peninsula,we actually entered a completely different world. The atmosphere changed from empty endless motorways through hot and barren Italian landscape…

    HIKING IN VAL ROSANDRA

Recently my mom celebrated her birthday and this year I wanted to surprise her with something special, something she would always remember. She wanted to go hiking to Val Rosandra for a few years now, but never managed to realise those plans. So I came up with the idea of surprising her and take her hiking. Val Rosandra is a valley, or rather gorge, just a few kilometres from Trieste. It is located near the border between Slovenia and Italy, but it’s still on Italian side. You can find various hiking trails and basically choose the length and difficulty of the trail. There are  also a lot of options to…

EASTER TRIP TO SAVICA WATERFALL AND LAKE BOHINJ

Every Slovene has probably visited Bohinj at least once in their lifetime, if not many times. Since not all my readers are Slovene, I have decided to share some photos from our recent trip to Bohinj with you anyway. I guess this post will be far more interesting for my foreign audience. Anyways, if you had visited Bohinj many times and still enjoy to see some well-known places from a different perspective – hop in, and enjoy the ride. Last week was Easter holiday and for the majority of time the weather was pretty miserable. On the last day everything had changed and all of a sudden it was sunny…
