    TENERIFE: MASCA

I think it’s the last time I continue with my Tenerife series, it’s been 3 months since our trip and I still haven’t shared with you the majority of the photos and stories. Good job, Maja! One of the “must see” places in island of Tenerife is definitely a small village in the middle of cliffs and hills – called Masca. POSITANO AND AMALFI

We followed the road that lead us from Sorrento, along Amalfi coast. The road is very scenic, you get to see some amazing cliffs, but it’s pretty difficult to drive as well. Keep in mind that roads are narrow, very winding and there is a lot of traffic going on. You can either curse the road, or you can take it as a part of the adventure and enjoy the ride. We enjoyed every bite of this “italian paradise” and took it slowly. Looking back I am really glad we took enough time for everything we did, there was no rush and no “I want to see too much in one day” attitude. We took our time to eat, to actually enjoy the food, took time to explore the coast and most importantly – took time…

    WELCOME TO AMALFI COAST

After a long drive we passed by the capital of Italy – Rome and an hour later we finally glanced a huge mountain rising in the distance. We immediately knew it was mount Vesuvius, which is actually a volcano. It felt just as the mountain was welcoming us and telling us that our final destination – Amalfi coast in near. Vesuvius is really majestic and sublime. It is standing proudly, watching over the city of Naples and Amalfi coast. As soon as we left Naples behind and entered the Amalfi peninsula,we actually entered a completely different world. The atmosphere changed from empty endless motorways through hot and barren Italian landscape…
