    USA DIARIES: THANKSGIVING IN TENNESSEE

Travelling from Miami to Tennessee was rather hectic. Despite the fact that the flight took less than 2 hours, I was as exhausted as it would lasted at least 7 hours. We had to get up really early, at around 5am to catch the flight. It was around Thanksgiving time so you can imagine the lines at the airport were long. You know, when some flights are quick and easy and everything goes somoothly and some of them are more exhausting, for different reasons? Well, I’d count this one to the exhausting ones. There was a lot of waiting – our flight was overbooked so we literally had to throw…

    TENERIFE: MASCA

I think it’s the last time I continue with my Tenerife series, it’s been 3 months since our trip and I still haven’t shared with you the majority of the photos and stories. Good job, Maja! One of the “must see” places in island of Tenerife is definitely a small village in the middle of cliffs and hills – called Masca. As soon as you get there you are good, the toughest part of the visit is the process of getting there. Roads are very narrow (hardly wide enough for two cars to meet) and fun fact – there are also buses that drive to Masca. If you are “lucky”…

    POSITANO AND AMALFI

We followed the road that lead us from Sorrento, along Amalfi coast. The road is very scenic, you get to see some amazing cliffs, but it’s pretty difficult to drive as well. Keep in mind that roads are narrow, very winding and there is a lot of traffic going on. You can either curse the road, or you can take it as a part of the adventure and enjoy the ride. After an hour of cliffs and amazing views, we arrived to the most popular town of Amalfi coast – Positano. Positano is a very unique old town, that is situated in a steep coast. Because of the cliffs and it’s…

    SORRENTO: “DO AS ITALIANS DO”

It took half a day for us to  pass over to a completely different state of mind – “Italian state of mind”. You can imagine this was not a hard thing to do when being surrounded by beautiful landscape, amazing food, tasty wine and italian language. We enjoyed every bite of this “italian paradise” and took it slowly. Looking back I am really glad we took enough time for everything we did, there was no rush and no “I want to see too much in one day” attitude. We took our time to eat, to actually enjoy the food, took time to explore the coast and most importantly – took time…
