WHAT WE DID IN GRAN CANARIA PART 2

Welcome to the second part of the things we did in Gran Canaria. In case you have missed the first part you can check it out HERE. So during our trip we also: Walked on the sandy dunes in Maspalomas This is another “must” in probably everyone’s itinerary when in Gran Canaria. The Maspalomas dunes are the island’s symbol. There were crowds of tourists taking pictures where the sand begins, so we walked further. Soon, we were almost all by ourselves, surrounded only by sandy dunes. It felt like another world. We walked all the way to the sea and back and at the end I was (I can only…

    ROADTRIPPING THROUGH NORTHERN GERMANY

Well, it’s been a while and I am finally back with a new blog post. This summer has been my busiest so far and I could not find time or motivation to write. Sitting behind computer for so many hours every day work-wise, definitely added to my reluctance to stay there any longer than necessary. That’s my excuse for being absent here, whether you like it or not. But more importantly I am back and ready to share some new adventures with you (and some old ones – I know I still owe you a bunch of posts and photos from Azores and they are coming!) So as I said…

    CAMPING IN KAMENJAK AND POREČ

In the beginning of August we took a  few days off and went on camping trip to the Istria – Croatia. We spent 3 days in Kamenjak and then 3 days in Poreč. As you may assume this was  another very last-minute decision. Going to Croatia in a high tourist season could mean the only affordable form of accommodation was our own tent. This camping trip turned out really great, despite the fact everything was packed with tourists. We found a nice camping spot under the pine trees  and we had no neighbours – so it was almost a private camping haha. We slept under the stars and woke up every…

    A DAY IN OPATIJA

It’s been a minute since my last post, but since it is summer and many of you are on vacation, I figured why not have a mini break from the blog myself? And that’s exactly what I did, plus we went on a camping trip to Croatia – but more about that in one of my following posts, I promise! From now on my posts will be more regular again, new post every week (or at least I will try to keep up with that schedule). So you wanna know how my summer’s going? It’s going really well actually, flying by so fast as per usual. On free-working days we…

    TENERIFE BEACH LIFE

Ever since we’ve first traveled to Tenerife in September 2014, we wanted to go back. There was something about that island dragging us to explore it again, so this May we finally got to do it. As soon as we found some reasonably priced tickets, we booked them. The price of the ticket and our accommodation was great, plus it was in the middle of May which meant we’ve avoided high tourist season – so it was a double “yes”! Flying over the island of Tenerife made me quite emotional, that is always the thing with me – returning back to a place I love, fills me up with a…
