ROADTRIPPING AROUND THE ISLAND OF MADEIRA

We did not change our sleeping locations, as some do, because the island is small and you can drive the entire island in just few hours. But, don’t let that “the island is small and you can drive the entire island in just few hours “ fool you when deciding how long your vacation in Madeira should be. We were there for 9 days and still left the island with feeling we could have extended for a few days. Such a small island and so saturated with amazing places to see. It’s like someone would collect the most amazing waterfalls, mountains and woods all together and place them on one…

    CAMPING IN KAMENJAK AND POREČ

In the beginning of August we took a  few days off and went on camping trip to the Istria – Croatia. We spent 3 days in Kamenjak and then 3 days in Poreč. As you may assume this was  another very last-minute decision. Going to Croatia in a high tourist season could mean the only affordable form of accommodation was our own tent. This camping trip turned out really great, despite the fact everything was packed with tourists. We found a nice camping spot under the pine trees  and we had no neighbours – so it was almost a private camping haha. We slept under the stars and woke up every…

    A DAY IN OPATIJA

It’s been a minute since my last post, but since it is summer and many of you are on vacation, I figured why not have a mini break from the blog myself? And that’s exactly what I did, plus we went on a camping trip to Croatia – but more about that in one of my following posts, I promise! From now on my posts will be more regular again, new post every week (or at least I will try to keep up with that schedule). So you wanna know how my summer’s going? It’s going really well actually, flying by so fast as per usual. On free-working days we…

    POSITANO AND AMALFI

We followed the road that lead us from Sorrento, along Amalfi coast. The road is very scenic, you get to see some amazing cliffs, but it’s pretty difficult to drive as well. Keep in mind that roads are narrow, very winding and there is a lot of traffic going on. You can either curse the road, or you can take it as a part of the adventure and enjoy the ride. After an hour of cliffs and amazing views, we arrived to the most popular town of Amalfi coast – Positano. Positano is a very unique old town, that is situated in a steep coast. Because of the cliffs and it’s…

    BOAT RIDE TO CAPRI ISLAND

In order to continue my “Amalfi series”, one day we took a boat to Capri and spent the whole day exploring the island. Capri is a small island close to Naples and Amalfi coast and if you ever visit those places – Capri is a MUST! The easiest and the only (therefore not so cheap) way to get there is by boat. No matter where you are staying (Naples, Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi)  there are boats departing from every town, their schedule is quite frequent too, so you should not worry about that. The boat ride took us around half an hour. Let me just say one thing about this island: It…
