    AROUND SLOVENIA: POSOČJE ROADTRIP

In August we took a week off and decided to make a roadtrip to Posočje. We agreed on staying in Slovenia and not expand our holiday outside the Slovenian bordes. Why? Well, first of all we were both pretty tired and simply weren’t up for a long drive or any big adventure. Second of all we didn’t want to risk any kind of “quarantine surprise” upon our arrival. We definitely could not afford it, workwise. We rarely visit the other side of Slovenian Julian Alps, so we thought it would be a nice change. Even though we didn’t go far and we stayed in Slovenia, we had a fair dose…

    AROUND SLOVENIA: ŠUNIKOV VODNI GAJ

In the beginning of the August we spent a week in Posočje, exploring a part of Slovenia we rarely visit. One day we visited beautiful nature park called Šunkov vodni gaj with numerous waterfalls and pools. None of us have been there before and looking back we are asking ourselves how so, because it really blew our minds. You reach the natural park driving through the Lepena valley. As you pass the Lepena camp, a few more kilometres and you come upon a sign “Šunikov vodni gaj”, where you leave the car. Hint: come early because it can get very busy during high tourist season. Luckily we chose foggy day,…

    HEN PARTY TRIP TO ŠTANJEL

At first let me tell you my hen party did not look like the “usual” hen party. Mostly it is up to individual how they like their hen party to be like, or better put it this way – it is up to their bridesmades and how good they actually know the bride (what does she like, what kind of games she likes to play, is she in for some typical dares and tasks she has to accomplish etc). My hen party was very much in my style and I loved every part of it. We did not have one specific location where the party took place, but we headed…

    EXPLORING KOZJANSKO FOR MY BIRTHDAY

This year we’ve decided to celebrate my birthday in a bit different way – exploring Kozjansko. As a result of a current pandemic other countires are not as accessible as usual, which gives us the perfect reason to explore our homeland. Kozjansko is a bit far from where we live and we did not want to visit some typical destination for a daily trip like Piran etc. (don’t get me wrong I love Piran and similar places, we just wanted something new). Even though we’ve decided to visit Kozjansko pretty spontaneously and last minute, now looking back, it’s a pretty great daily trip. That’s why I have decided to share…

    ROADTRIPPING THROUGH NORTHERN GERMANY

Well, it’s been a while and I am finally back with a new blog post. This summer has been my busiest so far and I could not find time or motivation to write. Sitting behind computer for so many hours every day work-wise, definitely added to my reluctance to stay there any longer than necessary. That’s my excuse for being absent here, whether you like it or not. But more importantly I am back and ready to share some new adventures with you (and some old ones – I know I still owe you a bunch of posts and photos from Azores and they are coming!) So as I said…
