USA DIARIES: EVENING HIKE ON A STONE MOUNTAIN

I can’t believe it’s been almost half a year since my last trip to USA. This trip has been one of the most “last-minute” and “you only live once” decisions I’ve ever made. I travelled with my dad, but did some travelling alone as well, which made much bigger impact on my current perception of basically everything. It was scary and absolutely out of my comfort zone, but so rewarding at the same time. This particular evening when we hiked to a Stone Mountain, was by far one of the best moments on this trip. Stone mountain is a pretty high mountain in the vicinity of Atlanta (Georgia). When we were…

CHIA PUDDING WITH CINNAMON AND GOJI BERRIES

I am sure each and every one of you have already tried some kind of chia pudding. I have to admit I wasn’t a big fan of it until recently, when I finally perfected the recipe and ingredients. So I thought I would share this recipe with you. The best thing besides eating this delicious pudding is the fact that preparation will take you less than 5 minutes.   WHAT YOU NEED: 3 tablespoons of chia seeds 1 cup of milk of your choice (soy, almond, cocoa) 1/2 tablespoon of cinnamon 3 tablespoons of raw cocoa powder goji berries       PREPARATION: 1) Pour milk in a jar, add…

A VALENTINE’S TRIP TO ROME: WHAT TO SEE IN ROME PART 1

Booking this trip looked something like this : having coffee with my friend Katarina, as she randomly scrolled through her phone and saw some cheap flights to Rome. The next thing I know we were all enthusiastic about taking our boyfriends to Rome for Valentine’s day. And half a day later it became official : tickets were booked and we were going to Rome, on a double date haha! To be honest it wasn’t even the whole V-day thing because we never really celebrate it, but by coincidence tickets to Rome were really cheap on those dates. Moreover it sounded really good, when someone asked me what our plans for…

    Amsterdam Botanical Gardens

When travelling to a city, I always tend to visit botanical gardens. My obsession with visiting different gardens all over the World, has now become a tradition. And why am I suddenly writing in singular, not plural? Well, I have to admit something – my lovely boyfriend/travel-buddy is not too excited, when it comes to plants and trees.  And I really can’t blame him for that. Even though we’ve travelled so much together, we still have our differences – from time to time we still want to go or do different things. You find yourself in a situation when one of you has to adapt. And that’s  a key to…

    Amsterdam

Amsterdam has been on our bucket list for quite some time and as soon as we found a reasonably priced plane tickets – we booked them, of course! What else would you expect? We found a cute apartment to stay in and that just made the whole trip even better. It was located near the tram station so our daily rides to the city centre were short and highly accessable. Extra points for Amsterdam (haha)!   Amsterdam being itself – crowded, smoky (no, the smoke I mean does not come from chimneys) and loud can be tiring, so staying in the apartment located in a very quiet, family-friendly neighborhood was what…
