    POKLJUKA GORGE

This weekend we were in for some exploring. In midst of our usual saturday morning breakfast, randomly “Pokljuka gorge” had crossed my mind. I thought I haven’t visited it for a while and the fact that me and my family used to go there quite often, brought me to the idea of going there now. We’ve never visited it together and my boyfriend told me he’d never been there before. We live only a few kilometres away and he’s never visited it – how ridiculous is that? haha! And so we went. There’s only a 10-minute drive to the gorge from our home town – which was very satisfying. After…

    NASSFELD

It was a weekend after I have finished all exams at uni and nothing felt better than starting my summer vacation with another daily trip.  We’ve been on many roadtrips lately, so we considered we want this one to be a bit different. We spiced up our trip by driving from home not knowing our destination. Our motto of the day was called “Go wherever the road takes you”. And so the road lead us towards Italy. After stopping for a coffee in Tarvisio, we continued with our roadtrip to the “unknown destination”. While driving through a small town called Pontebba, we came across a signpost “Nassfeld”. That caught our eyes…

    TRAIN TRIP TO SOČA VALLEY

At the end of May me and my boyfriend’s family went on a lovely daily trip to a beautiful town Most na Soči. To be more precise the trip was a birthday surprise for his grandmother. It was an early sunday morning as we hopped on a train towards Primorska region. It was an hour long drive . Grandma had no idea what we’re doing nor where we’re going, just until we had arrived to our destination. As soon as we arrived to Most na Soči, we took a stroll through this lovely town. The fact that this place is so different from our hometown (and yet only one hour…

    Spring roadtrip series – Austria

Continuing our road trip series – this time we decided to drive to Austria , to be more precise – to Klagenfurt and then to Wörthersee. We decided to capture spring in it’s fullest form. The common theme of this daily trip were blooming trees, since they were everywhere. Our so called “blooming tree hunt” began in Klagenfurt. Just in the middle of our “morning idyll”, which was drinking coffee on the main square and enjoying the sun, I realized I had left my camera at home. I was sure I had brought it to the car, but I must have forgotten it somewhere halfway. So I had to improvise and…

    Exploring the Slovenian Karst

The last few months I haven’t been travelling abroad and as devastating as it sounds – it also had it’s positive sides. And one of them was discovering Slovenia. Recently, we did some spontaneous roadtrips through Slovenia and I have to say we were very impressed. Karst (Kras) is a region (in Slovenia) I’m not very familliar with. I went there a couple of times, but I felt like I haven’t seen much. That’s how last week we decided to do some exploring in Karst. First stop was the beautiful Lipica. Lipica is a famous Slovenian stud farm, most known by it’s white Lipizzaner horses. We took a long walk through the park and watched…
