    FIRST TIME IN SWITZERLAND: LUZERN

Our next destination on this road trip through Alps was Switzerland. Can you believe I have never been to Switzerland before? I didn’t have a strong desire to go, until my boyfriend suggested we extend our road trip and visit Luzern, a city in Switzerland he had visited before and wanted to take me there ever since. I was in, as you can imagine. Later I have found out he had some additional secret intentions he left out in the beginning. That secret intention was to visit Stans – Pilatus aircraft factory and airport on our way to Luzern. I am sure all plane lovers and pilots will immediately know…

LAGO DI COMO: WHAT TO DO AND WHAT TO SEE

To break off this suddenly “mountain-themed” blog of mine, I wanted to share some photos and tips on what to do and what to see if you find yourself visiting the cosmopolitan Lago di Como. As I have mentioned in my previous posts I wanted to visit Lago di Como for quite some time now, probably since I have seen the movie The other man (2008) and since George Clooney invited me to visit him at his villa haha. CAMPING IN KAMENJAK AND POREČ

In the beginning of August we took a  few days off and went on camping trip to the Istria – Croatia. We spent 3 days in Kamenjak and then 3 days in Poreč. As you may assume this was  another very last-minute decision. Going to Croatia in a high tourist season could mean the only affordable form of accommodation was our own tent. This camping trip turned out really great, despite the fact everything was packed with tourists. We found a nice camping spot under the pine trees  and we had no neighbours – so it was almost a private camping haha. We slept under the stars and woke up every…

    TENERIFE BEACH LIFE

Ever since we’ve first traveled to Tenerife in September 2014, we wanted to go back. There was something about that island dragging us to explore it again, so this May we finally got to do it. As soon as we found some reasonably priced tickets, we booked them. The price of the ticket and our accommodation was great, plus it was in the middle of May which meant we’ve avoided high tourist season – so it was a double “yes”! Flying over the island of Tenerife made me quite emotional, that is always the thing with me – returning back to a place I love, fills me up with a…
