What else can you do in Miami Beach, about my first interview and where am I travelling for a pre-Christmas city break? For more, keep reading.
Continuing my “What to do in Miami Beach” series, here is a second part, where I share more tips with you. In case your are new reader, make sure you check part 1 as well, by clicking the following link :
7. WATCH SUNRISE/SUNSET AT THE BEACH
One of the best memories in Miami Beach are definitely sunrises. Every morning (well, almost) I would wake up really early, head to the beach and wait for sun to come up. That time of the day was my favourite, it was so peaceful, no crowds and I saw the most amazing sunsets. I also brought some fruits with me and had pre-breakfast snack with a million dollar view.
One day when I came back from my morning walk, I saw my first interview published, where I talk about my travel blog, my favourite travel destinations etc. I felt really nervous at first, but got so many positive feedbacks on it and it made me really happy. If you haven’t seen the interview yet, you can read it HERE ( it’s in Slovene though).
8. EXPERIENCE MIAMI BEACH NIGHT LIFE
Besides beaches and endless sunshine, Miami Beach has another reputation and that is wild night life. When it gets dark, everyone goes out for a drink, dancing, partying, showing off their cars etc. It feels like whole Miami Beach is one big party place, so if you like that kinds of things, it’s definitely a place to be.
9. WHERE TO SHOP? – LINCOLN ROAD MALL
When you find yourself in USA, of course you want to do some shopping as well. Lincold Road Mall is the main shopping street in Miami Beach, where you can find basically anything you need. From designer stores, to cheaper ones, souvenirs, shoes, accessories , anything. I advise you to go shopping during the day, when it’s too hot to stay outside for a long time plus the stores are not too crowded, since the majority goes shoping later in the day.
10. HAVE A DRINK UNDER PALM TREES
Many bars provide sit outside area that is pleasantly shaded by palm trees. First of, it feels nice to sit in the shade, drink your favourite beverage or eat and look at palm trees. It really gives you that “vacation in paradise” feeling. We used to go to this particular bar/brunch place called PAUL’S, almost every day, just because the ambient was so nice and they had a good coffee!
11. VISIT MIAMI BEACH IN LATE AUTUMN, WINTER OR EARLY SPRING
The best time to visit Miami Beach is from November till March. First of all the climate is tropical and during summer months the weather can be pretty unstable (rainy season). Second of all temperatures tend to be pretty high all year round, but it’s much more humid during the summer and when fall arrives humidity usually drops. In theory, because that’s was not the case when we were there. It was still very humid and let me tell you that was the less exciting part of the trip haha.
I hope this is somehow helpful, if you ever decide to visit Miami Beach. Maybe it will help you with planning or even deciding whether this is a place you want to spend your vacation.
This was my second time visiting Miami Beach, first time was in 2015 and it was a surprise trip from my boyfriend. It was our first time travelling to USA together, so that trip will always have a special place in my heart. I actually did a blog post of our trip, so if you would like to check it out click here :
Speaking of my better half, tomorrow we are heading to Vienna, for a shorter city break, to see Christmas market and enjoy December spirit. We have been to Vienna 6 years ago (this time of the year exactly), so we decided it’s about time to head back and make some new memories there. With all that being said, you can assume there will be more Christmas-themed posts coming very soon, stay tuned!
