In the beginning of August we took a few days off and went on camping trip to the Istria – Croatia. We spent 3 days in Kamenjak and then 3 days in Poreč. As you may assume this was another very last-minute decision. Going to Croatia in a high tourist season could mean the only affordable form of accommodation was our own tent.
This camping trip turned out really great, despite the fact everything was packed with tourists. We found a nice camping spot under the pine trees and we had no neighbours – so it was almost a private camping haha. We slept under the stars and woke up every morning to the sound of crickets and smell of pine trees.
We continued our way to Poreč, where we stayed for 3 night as well. We loved the old town, where beautiful houses were behind every corner. We came during Poreč Open Air Festival, so we had a chance to see a lot of live music every night.
One evening we saw there is a free Cinema under the stars and there was a movie we loved playing this particular evening, so we decided to stay and watch it. That was our last evening, so after the movie we spontaneously went skinny dipping. It was pretty late already and we found a spot just to ourselves, so we decided to just go with it.
This is probably one of the last summer-themed posts for a while, since the season is coming to and end. I know some of you may be really sad about it, but if you know me at all, you know my favourite season is just about to start and I could not be more thrilled about it.
I am so ready for autumn, for everything that comes with it and for some new travel adventures!
