PORTO

Just as I dropped the case of eagerly searching for photos from our last stop in Portugal and kind of accepted the fact that it’s gone, I found my other SD card and there it was – the lost footage from Porto. That was my Christmas miracle of 2017 haha!

I know blog posts should be a bit more winter themed right now but hey, it’s my blog so I can post whatever I like am I right? Furthermore some of my favourite photos from the entire trip are from Porto, so I thought I would share them with you anyway.

As I said before, Porto was our last longer stop before returning to Lisbon (from where we flew home). I must admit we were a bit tired from spending a week in Lisbon and a week driving along the Portugal coast, that’s why our first afternoon in Porto was a lazy one. Lazy day (afternoon in this case) for us means ordering in ( Pizza Hut it was!) and watching movies in bed. Guilty as charged, but after the constant “go-go-go” for the past two weeks, this afternoon felt so good.

The next day we were ready to do some exploring around Porto. The following days consisted of walking across the city and searching for some beautiful viewing points. Since half of the city is situated on a hill, we had an internal joke that we are not walking across the city, but hiking haha. After all we were used to it at that point, looking back Lisbon was no different.

One evening we went wine tasting and let me just say that the wine got the best of us. Every photo from that evening is blurry. Or embarrassing. So don’t ask me to show you those photos, because I won’t. Or maybe I already did if you are one of those lucky ones who have seen them.

One of my favourite evenings was when we went to the most famous bridge in Porto called Dom Luís I Bridge to watch the sunset. As the sun went down the sky was so beautifully coloured it was almost garishly.

And if you are asking yourself what is this really trendy outfit I was wearing, consisting of an old USA sweater, old sports leggings and a shirt peaking from underneath the sweater? THAT outfit my dear readers came as a result of having nothing else to wear since it was our last evening haha.

To keep you updated about how my New Years’s resolutions are going. Since one (and probably most important) was to travel more – I can assure you this one is going well. Still don’t belive me? Let me just say: plane tickets for the first trip of 2018 are booked! And the trip is only a month away so I’m starting to get really excited! Who’s with me?
