TRAIN TRIP TO SOČA VALLEY
At the end of May me and my boyfriend’s family went on a lovely daily trip to a beautiful town Most na Soči. To be more precise the trip was a birthday surprise for his grandmother.
It was an early sunday morning as we hopped on a train towards Primorska region. It was an hour long drive . Grandma had no idea what we’re doing nor where we’re going, just until we had arrived to our destination. As soon as we arrived to Most na Soči, we took a stroll through this lovely town. The fact that this place is so different from our hometown (and yet only one hour away – by train) makes you think you’re in a foreign country. Everything was so “zen”, you could easily tell that the athmosphere here was different. Walking through empty streets made me feel like time has stopped. I forgot about what day it is, forgot about the fact that this is only a daily trip, that tomorrow we’ll be caught up by a daily routine again.
We stopped for a coffee and ice-cream and after that we had jumped on a boat tour along the Soča river. That was my favourite part of the whole trip. Cool breeze against my face, the vividness of the river in my eyes, a glass of wine in my hand, good company and a never-ending scenic views in the distance. What other than that could you ask for, on a sunday afternoon? Not much really.
