When travelling to a city, I always tend to visit botanical gardens. My obsession with visiting different gardens all over the World, has now become a tradition. And why am I suddenly writing in singular, not plural? Well, I have to admit something – my lovely boyfriend/travel-buddy is not too excited, when it comes to plants and trees. And I really can’t blame him for that.
Even though we’ve travelled so much together, we still have our differences – from time to time we still want to go or do different things. You find yourself in a situation when one of you has to adapt. And that’s a key to a good travel-buddy relationship, no matter who your travel-buddy is – being adaptable and patient!
Sometimes we can’t (or won’t) make it work and that’s when we decide to split for a few hours and do our own thing. And after reunion we’re both happy for two reasons: 1.we’ve both done things we wanted to do and 2.we’re even happer to see each other again (haha funny – but true).
During our Amsterdam visit, I was pleased about him coming with me to the botanical gardens. At first he wasn’t too enthusiastic – but at the end he admitted he expected it to be worse. An for me – botanical gardens are a place to rest my mind and to amplify other senses.
