Spring roadtrip series – Austria
Continuing our road trip series – this time we decided to drive to Austria , to be more precise – to Klagenfurt and then to Wörthersee. We decided to capture spring in it’s fullest form. The common theme of this daily trip were blooming trees, since they were everywhere.
Our so called “blooming tree hunt” began in Klagenfurt. Just in the middle of our “morning idyll”, which was drinking coffee on the main square and enjoying the sun, I realized I had left my camera at home. I was sure I had brought it to the car, but I must have forgotten it somewhere halfway. So I had to improvise and do my best with phone camera. We spent a few nice hours in Klagenfurt, ate a good lunch (salmon – yumm!) and after that drove to the Wörthersee.
Since our usual destination when visiting Wörthersee in the most known village – Velden am Wörthersee, this time we decided to do some exploring. We stopped in a few random (less known and less touristy) villages scattered over the Wörthersee coast. Our last destination was Velden, where we ended our trip properly – eating a huge load of ice cream and strawberries.
I know I say it almost in every “roadtrip-themed” post, but I’ll say it again! Spontaneous roadtrips make us so so happy! We’ve done numerous roadtrips by now, but never regretted any! I admit we had some stupid and reckless adventures over the years, but they all turned into funny stories and even better memories.
